Siena & San Gimignano (Tuscany Area)

Both Siena and San Gimignano were our favorite cities in the Tuscany area. We visited Siena twice and SG about 4 times! Both cities had amazing food, yummy gelato and lots to see & shop.

Surprisingly to us, we ended up doing all of our souvenir shopping (which wasn't much do to such a horrible exchange rate) in SG. I got 2 small Tuscan serving dishes, a small olive wood cheese board & Anastasio got a calendar. We also 'splurged' on an embroidered bib & mini Pinocchio for the baby:

SG is known as the city of towers. It has 11 towers total and we hiked up a rather steep staircase to a viewing spot where Ana was able to get some great pics:

We frequently stopped at this bar on the right to have a cafe latte and watch the Giro on TV. They also had really yummy pastries and a pretty decent bathroom for me:-)
