Important dates to remember before I forget!
Sunday night, Sept. 11, we go into the hospital and early morning Tuesday Maiyo was born to a full moon, fully alert and looking out for momma & poppa.
We take home home Thursday and that Friday he goes to his first farmers market all bundled in a moby wrap.
Then Sunday he's introduced to family& friends.
For the first month Maiyo becomes more alert, is able to lift his head and goes on many outings including cyclocross races.
Maiyo surprises us by smiling at week 5 and in response to our happy smiles by week 7.
Just before month 2 he starts to talk and by month 3 he won't stop!
During the second month he can recognize momma & poppa's voices from across the room and by two and a half months he can see us from far away as well! He begins to laugh and it's the cutest sound ever.
At 3 months he can follow our movements faster and enjoys watching us move about.
He also starts mimicking vocal sounds in a kind of communication along with many smiles and giggles.
He's finding his hands and able to suck on them, sometimes two fists at a time:-)
His favorite sleepy time ritual is to suck on his blanket with one hand while scratching his head with the other, super cute.
He also found his tongue this week (3 months) he loves sticking it out then smiling:)
